Description:
J.S. Bach performed the cantata for the Fourth Advent and the Feast of the Visitation. Since he had no staff available in 1716, the brass instrumentation (1 trumpet) was very sparse. I left out the three lower voices of the choir and the four-part string section in my arrangement. Far be it from me to mess with Bach's craft, but somehow I have the feeling that he might have been able to get along with our version.
