Description:
The kind of music trumpeters played in the late 16th century Cesare Bendinelli, who was probably born around 1542, served as a trumpeter at the Viennese court and then served as chief trumpeter ("Obrister Trommeter") at the Munich court from 1580 until his death in 1617. The last three sonatas of Bendinelli's text, Nos. 334-336, contain both the clarino and sonata parts. This type of music was played by trumpeters at the great courts in the late 16th century to solemnly accompany the activities of their rulers.
