In Gariboldi's works, it is striking how simple his solos are in melodic and harmonic terms. This may contribute to the fact that his studies are still readily used in lessons today.

The sonata works of Paisible, who 'had no equal' as the most brilliant recorder player, testify to the perfect adaptation to the expressive possibilities of the instruments.

The concertante duos op.25 apostrophized as 'Great Duets' appeared in several editions already in the 19th century, a sign of appreciation. Brilliant and stirring.

Romberg's Clarinet Quintet brilliantly picks up where Mozart's masterpiece K. 581 left off. Romberg's round of melodies is paired with ambitious equal treatment of the instruments.

Bach's 6th trio sonata concludes the cycle of organ trios, whose 'beauty cannot be said enough' (J.N. Forkel), congenially usable in the version with strings.

The arrangement of Bach's 5th organ trio sonata for strings and suspended bass is ideally within the range of the violin and viola; octave shifts were not necessary.
