The tuba is an instrument which normally have the accompaniment role in the band. But it is also a great solo instrument which this piece shows.
The piece was written for Håvard Monge in the Norwegian School Band Heimdal og Tjøme skolemusikk.
The tempo markings are meant for guidance only and might be adjusted to fit the soloist and band. Please be shure to use the dynamics soloist vs accompaniment carefully throughout the piece.
To the conductor: The long accompaniment notes in the cadenza (bar 73 to 81) might be omitted if the soloist wishes to play these bars unaccompanied.
