Description:
For his cantata BWV 152, Bach chose an unusually chamber-musical instrumentation that still has a very colorful and lively effect today: The two solo singing voices are accompanied by recorder, oboe, viola d'amore, viola da gamba and organ. The cantata is intended for the Sunday after Christmas and was first performed in the Schlosskirche Weimar on December 30, 1714. Today, the performance of the last aria is very popular at weddings. Exactly 300 years later, it is now being published in a practical Urtext edition.
