Description:
Single edition from BA 5902, "Geistliche Chor-Music" SWV 381-397, Die sechs- und siebenstimmigen Motetten, Nr. 13-29:
In 1648, Heinrich Schütz published a collection of 29 motets for five to seven voices under the title "Geistliche Chor-Music". The use of the term "choir" refers not only to a (larger) vocal ensemble, but also to a group of musicians, both vocal and instrumental. As Schütz describes in his preface to the collection, all parts of the motets can be performed vocally and/or instrumentally.
