Description:
The solo cantata "Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen", composed around 1730 for the 15th Sunday after Trinity, is one of Johann Sebastian Bach's best-known cantata compositions.
The scoring with solo soprano, trumpet, strings and continuo is unique in Bach's cantata oeuvre and shows parallels to Italian masters of the time. The enduring popularity of this work to this day is due not only to its clear and concise formal structure but also to the virtuoso trumpet parts and soprano arias, in which the soloists are able to demonstrate their full mastery.
The cantata is presented here on the basis of the "New Bach Edition" with a clear and easy-to-play piano reduction by Martin Focke.
