Théodore Dubois wrote a large number of organ works during his time at the Parisian church "La Madeleine"/The third volume of this first Urtext Complete Edition - together with the already published volumes II and IV - completes this complex of works. It contains the "Trois Pièces" (Praeludium-grave, Adoratio et Vox Angelica, Hosannah) and the "Messe de Mariage" (Entrée du Cortège, Bénédiction nuptiale, Offertoire, Invocation, Laus Deo [Sortie]), a well-known and frequently performed wedding music.
As with the volumes already published, the edition contains numerous facsimile pages, a Critical Report (French, English, German) with a list of sources and a detailed preface which provides information about the composer's biography as well as instrument-specific and performance-related questions.
