The composer Peter Schindler on this single edition from "Perpetuum mobile":

"Oh golden Venus! A cruel goddess you are; your torch burns me completely. Why do you rage like this and hurt me?" We don't know exactly what has happened to this woman, but she is in agony. This love lament is a harrowing song of pain. She sings of being rejected, she feels close to death. She would rather die than endure such a life any longer.

Unrequited love! Always a theme in literature. You can't love without exposing yourself to the risk of being hurt. That may have been the case with this woman. The lento to text 103 in the Codex Buranus can in any case be played out operatically. The audience should feel pity for the abandoned woman.
