The composer Peter Schindler on this single edition from "Perpetuum mobile":

"Tempus est iocundum" (Time is sweet) is the name of the lyrical hymn to the joys of love. The audience is invited to share in the emotional experience. The erotic love song originally has eight rhythmic verses. All the verses focus on the exuberance and intensity of freshly blossomed love, describing it as a time of shared joy. Originally, the piece on text no. 179 from the Codex Buranus was certainly a dance song and quite carelessly conceived.

This is where the amorous part of Peter Schindler's "Perpetuum mobile" culminates. The sound is provided by music inspired by Latin jazz, which is certainly intended to encourage dancing. Lyrical passages such as "totus floreo" (I bloom completely) and "iam pereo" (I fade away) are maximum images in terms of intensity of emotion and the feeling of devotion. A song for a love song evening.
