Zu allen Zeiten gab es politische und gesellschaftliche Umwälzungen, die bahnbrechend waren. Sie werden hier kritisiert. Und dass man nur noch dem Gelde nachjagt, auch das ist nicht erst seit Goldrausch und Bitcoin so. Es erstaunt und amüsiert gleichermaßen, wenn man die 800 Jahre alten Texte liest und ihre Aktualität wahrnimmt.

Die Musik ist streng metrisch, mit einem schnellen Mittelteil, der Rhythmus ist treibend, wie wenn er das ständige Treiben des Weltgeschehens nachempfindet. Einige Strophen werden vom Männerchor gesungen, andere nur von Frauenstimmen.
